B-CAD was formed in 1987 specializing in providing computer aided drafting services to the architectural, engineering and corporate community. In 1990, with the maturation of the technology, we were able to respond to client requests by adding electronic document management to our list of services. We have maintained a steady, controlled expansion and to date have serviced over 700 clients nationwide.

All work is accomplished in-house with a full complement of scanning and CAD equipment and experienced personnel. Our reputation for consistent quality work at competitive prices has gained us "preferred vendor" status with many of our corporate clients.

B-CAD is known for going the "extra mile" in supporting our client and helping them achieve their goals. We are accustomed to demanding schedules and unexpected, changing conditions. Each challenge is confronted, analyzed and resolved in a calm, professional and efficient manner.

B-CAD MANAGEMENT AND AUTODESK TEAM...

Brandywine CAD Design, Inc. is owned by President and CEO, Donald K. Lloyd. Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Jeffrey L. Applegate, has been with B-CAD since 1993.

Donald K. Lloyd, President - Founder

Before founding B-CAD, Donald K. Lloyd worked in the engineering industry for 15 years. He was the lead mechanical designer on A.I. DuPont Institute Hospital for Children, one of the most technically sophisticated hospitals in the country. Prior to B-CAD, Mr. Lloyd was Vice President for a major Delaware-based engineering firm, specializing in Mechanical Design for large commercial, institutional and industrial projects. Mr. Lloyd is known for his high energy and optimistic "we-can-do" attitude. Clients are attracted to his tenacity and his sincerity.

Jeffrey L. Applegate, Vice President - Joined B-CAD in 1993

Upon graduating from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Applegate worked for the Facilities Planning and Construction Department at the University, overseeing numerous construction projects around the campus. Upon joining Brandywine CAD, Mr. Applegate started his journey as a Mechanical Designer and moved quickly into the role of department manager. While taking business courses at Wharton Business School, his direction shifted into administrative responsibilities including sales, marketing, finance, client relationships, project management, personnel management and executive decision-making. He was promoted to Vice President in early 1998.

Eric Smith, Systems Administrator - Joined B-CAD in 1987

Mr. Smith has been responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the diverse technologies for the past twenty years. Currently he manages the systems infrastructure at Brandywine CAD Design and serves as technical consultant to clients and management. He has extensive knowledge of current industry "Information Systems" practices and maintains a high level of knowledge and experience by maintaining current certifications in the technologies required for client's solutions. He has been involved with Autodesk products for almost 20 years, on the production, installation and training levels.

Thomas Sigler, Manager of Architecture - Joined B-CAD in 1988

Mr. Sigler's forty years experience in design, drafting and management of architectural projects has been a driving force in the growth of our CAD department. His experience ranges from small renovations and additions to multi-million dollar facilities. During his fifteen-year tenure with B-CAD, he has overseen work on many residential, commercial and institutional and industrial projects for a wide range of clients. He has been an AutoCAD user since version 2.5 and has provided training and technical assistance to both clients and B-CAD personnel.
